There is a harmony, a symbiosis, between my work as a composer and designer and my need to share these talents with others. I believe that a productive society depends on the cultivation of the arts.
My experiences as a graphic & web designer for National Public Radio, the National Science Foundation, The American Institute of Architects and The University of North Carolina, as an educator for Columbia College Chicago, and my work with diverse cultural institutions and artists, demonstrate my commitment to this belief.
With this holistic approach, I am equally at ease in the studio, the classroom, and the board room.

Project: Disquiet Junto
This is my contribution to Marc Weidenbaum's fifth "Junto" project. After doing a lot of field recordings while doing these tasks I finally settled on the one I made while returning from grocery shopping. The sounds you hear begin outside our building and follow us into the hallway, waiting for the elevator, riding up, walking to our condo, and going inside. The music will hopefully make that seemingly mundane task seem a bit more interesting.
